Job Title: Carpenter – Trade Tested (Fixed-Term | Tender-Contingent)
Location: Ladysmith, KwaZulu-Natal
Job Type: Fixed-Term Contract | Full-Time
Salary: R14,000/month
About the Role
We are looking for a trade-tested Carpenter for an upcoming civil construction project in Ladysmith. This position is subject to the award of a tender currently in progress. We want a reliable, skilled tradesperson with formal site experience.
Important: This position is subject to the tender being awarded to our company. Salary is only payable once the contract is confirmed and work commences.
Contract Requirement: Shortlisted candidates will be required to sign a Fixed-Term Employment Contract confirming their commitment to work for our company. This contract forms part of our tender submission and is null and void if the tender is not awarded.
Minimum Requirements
Trade Test Certificate in Carpentry (essential)
Minimum 5 years' post-trade experience on construction sites
Experience on formal contract or tendered sites preferred
Ability to work from drawings and specifications
Valid South African ID
Based in or able to commute to Ladysmith, KZN
Responsibilities
Carry out all carpentry and formwork tasks as directed by the Foreman
Construct and erect formwork, shuttering, and timber structures
Ensure work meets quality standards and project specifications
Care for all tools and equipment
Comply with all site Health & Safety requirements at all times
What We Offer
R14,000/month
Salary paid on the 30th of each month
Overtime at 1.5x rate (BCEA compliant)
